MT, +20 years:
Largo is now head of the Cataclysm Division. He's come to see that regular destruction is good for the building industry, and a little bit of evil makes his life much more interesting. His dress sense has, sadly, not improved, though his influence has resulted in a general loosening of the official dress code in the MTCD itself. Largo detests office work, and spends most of each day in the field.
Miho runs an extremely successful nightclub franchise loosely based on the Cave of Evil idea. Her health has (in general) improved thanks to the success and the fact that she's been in a stable and more or less supportive (if aberrent) relationship for years. She has been in hospital only once (not counting the births of her two children) since meeting Largo, and that was due to her rather unwisely neglecting to eat for a day prior to going to check on several of her franchises [She fainted on a train and was kept overnight for observation]. Miho still predominantly wears dark colours, though her wardrobe has expanded into blues and browns, as oppose to the old blacks and grays. She still religiously weaves her ribbons into her hair every morning.
Miho still taunts Largo relentlessly, but it is now far more playful in nature. She has learned from Largo how to be open about things that concern her, a far cry from the secretive and misunderstood teenager she used to be. Largo, on the other hand, has finally learned a small degree of empathy - having to look after someone else has bluntened some of his more destructive personality traits. Fights are rare between Miho and Largo; when they do errupt they're generally over very quickly, with destruction limited to the room(s) the two might have been in. Having a wife who's health has not always been perfect has caused Largo to talk more frequently than brandish a crossbow.
Their daughter, Kaiya (13) , is a real firebrand. She has Miho's build and long straight hair, and Largo's tendency to act without thinking things through logically. Her hair is a very deep auburn. Kaiya almost idolizes Largo, to Miho's occasional dismay. She tends to wear teeshirts and jeans, copying her father's rather haphazard clothing tastes, and studies jujitsu with fair diligence. When she grows up, she wants to work for the cataclysm division. She remains blissfully free of Miho's childhood illnesses, and seems immune to most of the colds that affect other children.
Kazuo [8] is an active, if fairly quiet child. He also has Miho's long, straight hair, and has kept his mother's colouring too. He is nimble and light-footed, and enjoys reading and playing games on his Playstation 7. His hand-eye coordination is good, and in spite of mild astigmatism, he excells in his primary school softball team.He is Miho's favorite; she often reads to him from both English and Japanese classics, and has high hopes for him. Kazuo dotes on Kaiya, and is often a willing accomplice in her schemes, most of which are fairly harmless (if incredibly amusing). For her part, Kaiya looks out for her younger brother, and has been known to rough up anyone who gives him a hard time.
